Good product. Have had it for a year or more. Owned for more than a year now. The internal battery has completely quit. The red charging light just flickers but the unit still works well and as it should. Just don't expect to use it unplugged. It takes excellent video and the videos they give online are accurate. No better product for anywhere near this price.

It's a great product. I'm a truck driver I drive at night and the picture is wonderful. my only problems are with the mount (it doesn't stay secured to the window). And the memory card was not in the box.

I bought this item on Wirecutter's review/recommendation. So far, I am very happy with the Zero Edge Technology Z-Edge Z3. I had this product for about a week before finally deciding to hook it all up yesterday, so my opinion may change over time. I bought a dash cam because there are far too many instances where somebody does something silly out on the road, and I just want to have evidence to protect myself.

However, I did notice one glaring omission when I was opening the box up and laying out all of the items included. The cable clips, there are only four. It would be significantly more effective and useful if I had a handful more of them. I would like to route the power cable around the perimeter of the windscreen and then down into the passenger side footwell area before terminating at the power source in the center console. I definitely need a bunch more cable clips. I plan on going to the hardware store to find some that may work.

I reached out to their customer service for this matter, and they responded quickly. I'm impressed with their customer service.

One sort of strange thing though. I am under the impression that this is an American company. However, when I read through the instructions in the package, and the packaging itself, it reads like whoever wrote it isn't a native English speaker. Same with their website.
Overall, I'm very happy with the Zero Edge Technology Z-Edge Z3 so far.

First impressions are that his dash cam is a great buy. Received it yesterday. VERY PLEASED. Contrary to lots of cameras, the instructions were clear and concise and in good English. Easy set up for date, resolution, recording time, etc. First hooked it to my PC with the short USB cable provided and it worked great as a webcam. Put it in the car and it worked great on about a 30 minute drive. Just unsnapped it and brought it back to my PC and when i plugged it in, it immediately recognized it as a remote drive and allowed me to view the segments of my trip (I choose 5 minute segments in the setup) Picture quality was outstanding. I could read license plates, road signs, recognize car types, etc. It looks like I can get about 1 hour of recording on a 16 Gig class 4 card before it starts overwriting the oldest.
The camera itself is very small and light. Would be easy to use as motion detecting security/spycam anywhere.
Mounted up near the mirror, there is plenty of power cord to hide in the headliner edges, down the door frame, under the dash and to the dash outlet. When I have proven it a little longer, I probably will order more for other vehicles and family gifts.
CON: the windshield suction cup is very temperamental, finally got it holding, but not too confident in it. I may have to put a little silicone cement on it.

running with this dash cam from DB power

basically take it out of the box stick

it to your windshield plug it in your

cigarette lighter and you're ready to go

let's go over some of the menu features

on this dash cam so pretty simple

interface your power button is going to

be up here so let's go into our menu and

inside there's two different menu

systems this one is basically going to

be about your picture so there's the

size you go in there you can go 1080

full HD 1080p 720p and VGA and Q VGA

really only messed around with the Full

HD because I figure go through with the

highest resolution and that's going to

give you the best picture quality the

next option is going to be your exposure

so if we go in here this is going to

give you plus or minus and zero so if

you find that the camera tends to

overexpose you can dial it down a little

bit or if it's underexposed you can go 

 

up a little bit so if we back out of

there the next option is white balance

let's go in here and you can leave it on

auto which is what I suggest or you can

manually dial it in to daylight cloudy

fluorescent and incandescent so our next

option is Andy shake go in there and you

can either have it on or off this is

gonna you know stabilize your video a

little bit loop recording is your next

option if you have an off it'll record

in one long can do this file you're

gonna have three minutes five minutes or

10 minutes
